PROF GUY CALLENDER, Chair of Strategic Procurement, Curtin Business School, Australia

Guy Callender is the Professor and Chair of Leadership of Strategic Procurement at Curtin Business School. He is a Foundation Professor of CIPS Australia and Principal of the Asia-Pacific Procurement Research Group. He is the leader of a number of research projects including an investigation into the cost estimation problems associated with the acquisition of software. Guy has a professional background in accounting and finance, organisation change, education and procurement and is interested in the development of procurement and supply chain management as a business discipline. He is closely involved in educating procurement practitioners to develop procurement as the science of buying and supply.
