BRETT BURTON, Director, Merck Manufacturing Division Lean Six Sigma Australia

STREAM 3.1 Wednesday 3.45pm - 4.30pm

Brett Burton is currently the Director of Merck Manufacturing Division Lean Six Sigma. In this position, Brett has played an instrumental role in developing the Merck Manufacturing Strategy, with the key objective of using lean principles to significantly reduce the time it takes for pharmaceutical source changes, create the capacity for an increase in the number of source changes and do so in a way that made team members productive and satisfied. Burton has also assisted in developing the methodology for this strategy, applying lean to an end-to-end business process. Prior to this senior level position, Brett fulfilled the role of Material Planning Manager for the Merck Manufacturing Division. Brett is not only a Merck Lean Six Sigma blackbelt but has completed a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration.
