Australia’s leading supply chain event, Smart 2011, held in Sydney recently, was an enormous success, providing learning tools and leadership to hundreds of delegates.
Event organisers say attendance numbers at Smart Conference & Expo on May 25 and 26 were very high, demonstrating that Smart’s impressive speaker line-up and comprehensive exhibition continue to deliver exactly what delegates require.
“The feedback I have received from those who attended Smart 2011 has been overwhelming,” said Michael Watkins, Chair of the Smart 2011 Organising Committee
.
“Delegates were impressed by our local and international speakers at Smart Conference, including Terry Davis of Coca-Cola Amatil, who delivered a most insightful keynote presentation. The Smart Awards and Supply Chain Industry Dinner was a wonderful and enjoyable social event, and congratulations must go to our outstanding Award winners.
“Our learning streams were very well received, allowing delegates to dip into topics that interested them, and come away from Smart with a set of information that will most benefit them, personally and professionally.”
Mr Watkins said hosting break sessions in the Smart Expo hall was a popular move, with delegates able to speak with exhibitors at length about the latest technologies and services.
“We decided to theme Smart 2011 as The Road Ahead: Supply Chain Models for the Future. It certainly delivered that information and more to delegates – everything they needed to help them and their organisations in what is an uncertain environment was found at Smart 2011.
“Smart is an event organised for the industry, by the industry and has been running for about 20 years. We are proud to say our events continue to be leading learning and networking opportunities and look forward to presenting Smart 2013.”
