Over 600 attend the gala Supply Chain Industry Dinner and presentation of the prestigious Smart Awards
Overall quality of submissions received was exceptional, said Len Harper, Chairman of the Smart 2009 Awards Committee
The Smart awards were presented on Thursday 11 June 2009 at the Supply Chain Industry Dinner held in the Parkside Ballroom, Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Once again this proved to be the industry's most prestigious gala event held during Smart 2009 Conference with over 600 people attending.
The Smart Awards celebrate exceptional corporate and individual performance in key supply chain and logistics industry sectors.
As the only supply chain industry awards judged by all of the major industry associations, the Smart 2009 Awards offer a chance for industry members to be recognised through a prestigious awards program which is both well respected and peer-reviewed.
The 2009 Awards had a particular focus on innovation and new business strategy, as judges looked for businesses who are addressing industry challenges in new and successful ways and who are leading their peers in areas such as corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
The Smart Awards criteria and rigorous judging processes were managed by a committee comprising each of the industry organisations involved.
