  • With limited resources, most procurement professionals heavily concentrate their efforts on direct expense purchases. Indirect expense categories are typically a low priority and therefore not focused on. Such expenses include stationery, facilities management, insurance, energy, travel, foreign exchange, waste, fuel, consumables and work wear. A lack of volume, in-house expertise, understanding of market trends, data, policy controls and relationships can make the management of indirect expenses a real challenge. Individually indirect
